Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Sauce Bowl 1159

This Georg Jensen sterling silver Sauce Bowl is a modern approach to the classic gravy dish.  The silver piece is meticulously hand crafted as is the ebony wood handle.  Each wood handle is custom made to fit the specific silver bowl.

This Sauce Bowl was designed by one of Georg Jensen’s most famous collaborators, Henning Koppel in 1967.  Koppel’s modern approach and organic and fluid shapes brought Georg Jensen into a new modern era.  Koppel’s approach can be identified as what we think of Danish Design.  Trained as a sculptor, Koppel’s mission was to make everyday life objects as beautiful as possible.
