Venini Piatto di Tapio Red/Aquamarine

Venini Piatto di Tapio represents water and ice through glass. This freezing water appears to be trapped in the center, surrounded by either a red or gray border. Piatto di Tapio can be displayed as art glass or used as a centerpiece platter.

Designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Venini in 1970. Made from hand-blown Murano glass using the Incalmo technique. This is where two hand-blown shapes are heated and combined along their circumference to create one object.
