The Ginori 1735 Fortunae Porcelain Japanese Tea Cups with Saucers, Set of 2 bring Italian illustration to the traditional handleless tea bowl. Each cup is banded with a chain motif on celadon and edged in fine red line.
The saucers hold a small surprise. Lift the cup, and a golden padlock appears at the center, a symbol of something kept safe. It is a detail made for the slow pace of tea.
Made in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy, where Ginori has produced porcelain since 1735, the set includes two cups and two saucers. Pair it with the Fortunae teapot and round tray for a tea service for two, or give it on its own to someone who takes their tea seriously.
