What is a wedding registry and how does it work?
A wedding registry is a personalized gift list curated by the couple, designed to guide guests toward selections that reflect their shared taste and lifestyle. Once created, your registry lives online, where guests can browse and purchase with ease. You decide how your gifts are received and who can view your registry.
Where is the best place to create a wedding registry?

When should we create our wedding registry?
We recommend beginning your registry 6 to 9 months before your wedding. This ensures your list is available for early events, such as engagement parties and showers, while allowing time for private consultation and considered curation. Our registry concierge is available to help refine your selections at any stage.
Can a specialist help us build our registry?
Yes. While creating your registry online is quick and simple, you are welcome to work directly with a Kneen & Co wedding product specialist. We will consult with you on selections, build your online registry for you, and manage the process from initial consultation through purchase tracking.
How many items should we include on our registry?
Most registries include 100 to 150 items, spanning a variety of price points to accommodate every guest. We encourage a thoughtful balance of everyday essentials, like elevated tableware, alongside signature pieces such as crystal stemware or heritage porcelain that celebrate your personal style.
What should we put on our luxury wedding registry?
Include a mix of everyday and special-occasion pieces: designer flatware, fine linens, decorative accents, and statement-making dinnerware that reflects your vision for a beautifully layered home. Is it okay to include high-value items on a registry?

Can we update our registry after it’s live?
Yes. Your registry is entirely flexible. Add, remove, or adjust items at any time, track guest purchases, and make refinements as your preferences evolve, all from your registry dashboard.
Privacy & Sharing
Can we control who sees our registry?
Yes. Every Kneen & Co registry offers privacy settings, so you decide how your registry is found and who can view your selections. You may choose a Public registry, a Public registry with password protection, or a Private registry visible only to you.
What is a password-protected Public registry?
A Public registry with a password can be found by searching your names on kneenandco.com, but your item list remains hidden until a guest enters your password. This is the ideal choice for most couples: share the password with your invited guests, and only they will be able to view and purchase from your registry.
What is a Private registry?
A Private registry is hidden from search on kneenandco.com, and your item list is visible only to you. This setting suits couples who are still curating and not yet ready to share. When you are ready to welcome guests, simply change your registry to Public and add a password.
Can someone find our registry through Google or another search engine?
No. Kneen & Co registries are never indexed by Google or any other search engine, so your registry cannot be found by searching your names online. It can only be found through Find a Registry on kneenandco.com, and only when it is set to Public.
How do we share our registry with guests?
Set your registry to Public, then share your registry link with your guests. Many couples include it on their wedding website for convenience. For added privacy, you may also add a password and share it with your invited guests, so only they can view and purchase from your registry. Without a password, anyone who finds your registry on kneenandco.com will be able to view your selections.
Receiving Your Gifts
How will we receive our gifts?
You may choose between two delivery options when you create your registry. With a Wedding Gift Card, the value of each gift accrues to your gift card balance, and after your wedding you are free to refine your choices and select from any Kneen & Co products. We will keep you informed of your balance along the way. With Receive Gifts as Purchased, each gift is shipped directly to your preferred address as it is purchased, beautifully packaged in our signature wrap. Guests may include a personal note with every gift.
Can registry gifts be returned or exchanged?
Gifts received through the Receive Gifts as Purchased option are not eligible for refund or store credit. If you would like the flexibility to change your mind, we recommend the Wedding Gift Card option, which lets you choose your final pieces after the celebration.
