The Ginori 1735 Fortunae Venezia Porcelain Mini Plates, Set of 2 pair two of the oldest symbols of good luck. On one, a golden key hangs from a tasseled chain. On the other, a red horn, the Italian cornicello, long carried as a charm against misfortune.
Both are made in the manufactory’s historic Venezia shape and framed by a bold striped rim in mocha and white, with a fine gold garland within. The illustrations are drawn in delicate monochrome line.
Made in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy, where Ginori has produced porcelain since 1735, the plates serve dessert, petits fours, or biscotti with coffee. Away from the table, they keep keys and small objects on a desk or entry console. A gift for a couple, or one to keep and one to give.
