The Herend Golden Edge Rim Soup Plate pairs luminous white porcelain with a single hand-painted band of gold. The pattern was created in the early twentieth century for Count Hadik, whose family name has been tied to Herend since János Hadik led the Hungarian manufactory from 1926 to 1933.

Measuring 8 inches in diameter, the Herend Golden Edge Rim Soup Plate is sized for soups, pastas and first courses, its wide rim framing each serving with quiet ceremony. Restrained enough to anchor a formal table and durable enough for regular use, it is fine china meant to be enjoyed as often as it is admired.
