The Saint-Louis Amadeus Wine Carafe is designed for decanting and serving wine at the table, with a body large enough to hold a full bottle and a neck and spout shaped for a clean, controlled pour. Its rounded form and slender neck follow the same vocabulary as the Amadeus stemware, making it a natural complement to the water jug and the full stemware series. In clear crystal, it allows the color and clarity of wine to be fully visible before it is poured.
Like the Amadeus stemware, the Wine Carafe is mouth-blown and hand-cut at the Cristallerie Saint-Louis in Lorraine, shaped by artisans using techniques refined over generations. Its form is marked by the same ring decoration and clean lines that define the broader collection, and the quality of the crystal itself — dense, clear, and sonorous — is immediately apparent in the weight and ring of the piece.
The Amadeus collection takes its name and spirit from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose music achieves an impression of effortless beauty through extraordinary discipline and craft. Saint-Louis conceived the collection as a parallel: forms that appear to have arrived at their elegance naturally, concealing the virtuosity required to realize them. Amadeus is produced at the Cristallerie Saint-Louis in Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche, Lorraine, the oldest crystal manufactory in Europe, which has held the title of Royal Cristallerie since 1781.
