Saint-Louis Apollo Footed Bowl

The Saint-Louis Apollo Footed Bowl is a larger and more elevated version of the Apollo Bowl, set on a short foot that lifts it from the surface and gives it more presence as a centerpiece or serving piece. Its wide, open form and the Apollo’s Venetian rib motif make it a natural anchor for a formal table arrangement, working well holding fruit, confections, or flowers.

Every piece in the Apollo collection is mouth-blown and hand-cut by master artisans at the Cristallerie Saint-Louis in Lorraine, France. The fine Venetian ribs that define the Apollo silhouette are formed during the blowing process and then refined by hand-cutting in the cold atelier, demanding both the glassblower’s precision and the cutter’s skill to achieve the clarity and regularity that the collection requires. Saint-Louis’s artisans, many of whom hold the Meilleur Ouvrier de France distinction, are considered among the finest crystal craftspeople in the world.

Born from the classic motif of the Thistle collection in 1979, the Apollo line presents extreme refinement. Fine Venetian ribs on the parison and the surprising nic-nac bevel cut flow down the Apollo glasses like a cascade of pure water coming to bloom roundly. The collection draws its name from the god of light, and its graphic signatures — vibrant Venetian stripes and a delicate bevel cut — express the fluidity and brilliance of crystal in motion. Apollo has since expanded across tableware, barware, decoration, and lighting, finding a place in every room and at any time of day. Established in 1586, Saint-Louis stands as Europe’s oldest crystal manufacturer and has held the title of Royal Cristallerie since 1781.
