Every piece in the Galerie Royale collection is mouth-blown and hand-cut by master artisans at the Cristallerie Saint-Louis in Lorraine. The cuts on each piece are individually designed to reflect the artistic and historical character of the reign it honors, and their execution demands the precision that Saint-Louis’s artisans are uniquely positioned to deliver. The base of each piece is stamped with the sovereign’s monogram and the Palace of Versailles x Saint-Louis seal. The Galerie Royale collection is a collaboration between the Cristallerie Saint-Louis and the Palace of Versailles, rooted in the letters patent signed by Louis XV at Versailles in 1767 that made Saint-Louis the official supplier to the French court. The Queens’ Hall collection, launched in 2020, presents four short-stemmed footed crystal glasses honoring Maria Theresa of Spain, Marie Leszczynska, Marie-Antoinette of Austria, and Maria Amalia of Naples and Sicily — the four queens who left their defining mark on Versailles. Each mark on the crystal recalls the artistic and historic inspirations of the corresponding reign.
