The Bernardaud Augusta Soup Tureen is a centerpiece for a seated dinner, bringing soup, stew or a winter braise to the table in ceremony. Its body is wrapped in a fine gold mosaic between a green border and a geometric frieze, with twin handles and a gold-tipped finial on the lid.

The tureen gathers every element of the collection on one piece: the gold grid of the dinner plate, the green borders of the bread plate and the geometric frieze of the salad bowl. It is Art Deco in its full expression, ornament held in order by line and repetition.

Bernardaud has made porcelain in Limoges since 1863 and remains family-owned, with the hand present at every stage of each piece.
